Larkmeadow is a reader-supported site focused on gardening, home, and everyday living. Some of the links in our posts are affiliate links, meaning that if you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer. This page explains how that works and how it affects what we publish.

How Affiliate Links Work on This Site

We participate in the Awin affiliate network, along with individual retailers’ own affiliate programs. When a link in a post is an affiliate link, clicking it and completing a purchase may result in a commission being paid to us by the retailer or network.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not change our standards for factual accuracy or disclosure. We choose what to write about and what to recommend based on our own research and judgment, not based on whether an affiliate relationship exists with a particular brand.

How We Disclose Affiliate Links in Posts

A general statement on this page isn’t enough on its own. The Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements calls for a disclosure that is clear and noticeable at or near the actual recommendation, not just somewhere else on the site. Where a post contains affiliate links, we aim to make that clear within the post itself, close to where the links appear.

Sponsored Content and Free Products

Larkmeadow does not currently accept payment for coverage of a specific product or brand. If we are ever given a product free of charge for review purposes, or a post is otherwise sponsored, we will disclose that clearly within that specific post.

Affiliate Links and Pinterest

We use Pinterest to share content from Larkmeadow. When a Pin links to a Larkmeadow article that contains affiliate links, the affiliate relationship is disclosed clearly within that article. If we ever use an affiliate link directly in a Pin, we will include an appropriate disclosure with that Pin.
